Welcome to The Royal British Legion
Bury St Edmunds Branch

Welfare
Beneficiaries, the only people who can benefit from our funds, remain the members of the Service and ex-Service community and their families who are in need. If you qualify and are in need of welfare or pensions advice, or if you know of anyone who is then please contact one of our County Welfare Officers on 01284 725 833.

The Royal British Legion is the nation's leading Armed Forces charity providing care and support to all members of the British Armed Forces past and present and their families. It is also the national Custodian of Remembrance and safeguards the Military Covenant between the nation and its Armed Forces. It is best known for the annual Poppy Appeal and its emblem the red poppy.

Membership of The Royal British Legion is available to all adults, not just members or ex-members of the forces and we always welcome new members. Applicants below the age of eighteen may become Youth Members and pay a nominal subscription.

If you are a member of the Legion please do come along to our meetings. If you are not already a member and would like to join please telephone the membership secretary on 01284 388185 or send an email to: viking9@btinternet.com giving your name and address and we will post  a membership application form to you. Alternatively, come along to one of our monthly meetings.

Meetings
We meet on the second Thursday of every month (except in November when it is the third Thursday) at the Royal Anglian Club which is in the TA Centre, Blenheim Camp, Newmarket Road, Bury St Edmunds, IP33 3SW
